Curious about making your own shoes? In this intensive workshop, you will learn to pattern, sew, last, and bottom a pair of rubber soled desert boots of your own design. You will come away not only with a pair of shoes or low boots, but the ability to make them again. Beginner friendly, and possibly fun! All levels welcome.
Amara Hark-Weber (she/her) has been making bespoke footwear for more than a decade. She has worked with hundreds of clients, taught at numerous institutions, and won a fair number of awards. Hark-Weber uses traditional leatherworking techniques to make modern footwear, with an emphasis on color and texture work. She builds footwear full-time in her St. Paul, MN workshop.
