Gateway is Haystack’s annual report and newsletter. The publication serves as a synopsis of the previous fiscal year—with updates about our programs, fundraising activity, grant support, fellowships, partnerships, and updates regarding our trustees and staff.
This Annual Report looks back at both the 2024 and 2025 fiscal years.
Thanks to the generosity of donors and the craft community, Haystack’s 2024 and 2025 Annual Appeals supported our operating, campus/facilities, and programmatic goals.
The lists in this Annual Report include gifts to the Annual Fund, Scholarships and Fellowships, Faculty Funds, programs, studios and facilities, honorary and memorial gifts, and in-kind donations made to Haystack between:
November 1, 2023 and October 31, 2024 (FY24)

It is with gratitude and pride that we continue Haystack’s mission of connecting people through craft, and it is thanks to the generous support of individual donors, foundations, and volunteers that we are able to provide quality programming, attract renowned teaching and visiting artists, offer free public programs, and host special events for individuals from as near as our local community of Deer Isle, Stonington, and the Blue Hill Peninsula in Maine to individuals worldwide.
