Fruit Cocktail by Megan Stelljes, 2024. Hot sculpted, cold worked, and flame worked glass, 15" x 15" x 8".
In this workshop, we will focus on hot assembly using pre-made parts, utilizing the garage as well as hot bit work. We will also focus heavily on powder color application and learn how to see and translate objects from the real world and our imaginations, leaving with multi-part assemblies. All levels welcome.
Megan Stelljes (she/her) received a BFA from Emporia State University. Upon graduating, she relocated to Washington state to apprentice with glass sculptor Karen Willenbrink-Johnson. Driven and energized by sharing, teaching became and continues to be an essential component of Stelljes’s creative life. She began to study Neon under the tutelage of artist Jeremy Bert, incorporating light into her sculptural practice. Stelljes is a co-founder of Gray Barn Studios in Arlington, WA.
