Benches Build Community

A stool is for one, a bench for more than one: to gather, wait, gaze….together. In this immersive workshop, we will start by building sample stools while utilizing the machinery we have on hand: learn to mill wood, cut different types of joinery, and shape parts. We will finish the stools by weaving their seats. Each participant will then take what they have learned to design and build their own bench to create a space for communing with others. All levels welcome.
