Explore the potent possibilities of form and scale with two long-time handbuilders. Employing handbuilding and idea-generating methods, we will investigate ways in which materials, process, and technique intersect to produce work with depth and meaning. Utilizing earthenware clay and electric kiln firing, we will explore surface potential in applications appropriate for both sculptural and functional work, ranging from subtle and soft to exuberant color. Prior experience with clay strongly recommended. All levels welcome.
