Thrown Together
Vase by Gillian Doty, 2025. Wheel-thrown North Carolina stoneware with white slip and clear glaze, fired in a gas kiln to cone 10, 9" x 9" x 13".
This workshop will provide participants with the knowledge and skills for basic wheel-thrown pottery. Participants will gain insight into throwing techniques, build a repertoire of simple forms, learn about different characteristics of clay, and more! This workshop is geared towards beginners who want to learn about this tactile, meditative, and rewarding process. In order to maximize our time in the studio, the sole emphasis of the workshop will be on making, and no firing will take place. Exclusive for beginners.
