New Works
New Works was developed as a major program offering in 1996, seeking to promote significant opportunities for distinguished artists (all former participants in Haystack's program), to create new work and exchange ideas with peers in Haystack's celebrated studio setting. Free from the responsibility of teaching, New Works offers these artists time themselves to retreat and immerse fully in their work and ideas. This program is uniquely suited to the school's scale and open format, which foster ideal conditions for retreats of this scope. New Works is made available subject to foundation funding, and in alternate years between Haystack conferences and/or symposia.
Information about future New Works programs will be posted as it becomes available.
