Haystack Mountain School of Crafts

This year, Haystack won second place in Deer Isle's Fourth of July parade for this creative rendition of a marching band, celebrating the island's fishing heritage. Haystack staff and friends proudly donned fashionable lobster costumes while trumpeting through homemade buoy horns and drumming on bait buckets all along the parade route.

The Boogie-Woogie Bugle Corps lines up at the start of the parade.

Visiting Artist Michael Moschen leads the procession, dressed in full fishing attire and juggling lobster buoys.
