Every summer Haystack offers its Evening Program Series, which features lectures and performances by the summer's faculty and visiting artists. Open to the Haystack community as well as the general public, free of charge, this Series, includes up to 40 slide lectures, performances, and other presentations that take place in the Gateway building. Most of Haystack's evening programs are free to the public, with a modest charge collected at the door for selected performances to help defray the costs for these. Look for the 2008 Evening Program Series to be posted in early summer.

Each summer Haystack also opens its doors to the community for its six session 'walk throughs', which give visitors the chance to see some of the work that has been created by participants in Haystack studios during their sessions. Following these closing Thursday 'walk throughs', Haystack stages its end-of-session auctions, the proceeds from which support the scholarship fund and studio improvements. Visitors and area residents also are invited to Haystack's annual Silent Auction and Summer Party, a benefit that helps raise funds for the scholarship program as well.
